(Jan. 27, 2015) – For the first time in four years, the sights and sounds of snowmobile racing return to New York’s famed Tug Hill plateau, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) will contest Round 4 of its nine-race 2015 schedule on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, at the beautiful Snow Ridge Ski Resort in Turin.
SCHAGHTICOKE, New York (Jan. 19, 2015) – Swedish snocross sensation Johan Dahlgren made a clean sweep of the Pro classes over the weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 2 of its nine-race 2015 schedule at the historic Schaghticoke Fairgrounds.
On Saturday, Dahlgren, of Tannas, Sweden, worked his way past early leader Jake daSilva (daSilva Racing/Ski-doo) on lap seven of 12 and powered home for top honors. Four-time and defending champion Danny Poirier (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo) made a late-race charge to secure second, while daSilva hung on for a third-place podium finish.
BANGOR, Maine (Jan. 15, 2015) – Veteran snowmobile racers Mathieu Morin and Danny Poirier earned final round victories last weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) opened its 2015 season with the inaugural Paul Bunyan International at historic Bass Park in Bangor, Maine.
Morin, of Val-d’Or, QC, snuck past his Ingles Performance/Ski-doo teammate Poirier on the final lap Sunday to notch his first win since 2011. Poirier powered to victory
in Saturday’s grueling 13-lap final with a wire-to-wire dominant performance.
