Presented by Woody’s Traction and FXR

PLATTSBURGH, New York (Feb. 27, 2017) – Norwegian racer Kristoffer Holm notched his first clean sweep of the Pro Mod finals over the weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 4 at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.

Holm (Team Southside/Polaris), of Storslet, Norway, dominated Friday’s Pro Mod final (a first under the lights) after nailing a perfect start. Leo Patenaude (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo) crossed the stripe in second, while Cody Paolella (Team Southside/Polaris) filled out the podium in third.

On Saturday, Holm grabbed the hole shot once again and held on to complete the sweep. Patenaude had to come from the back to earn his second runner-up finish of the weekend, while Paolella capped a successful points outing in third.

In the Pro class (formerly Pro Lite), Patenaude got by early leader Scott VandeBorne with an amazing, in-the-air pass on the front stretch and cruised home for top honors Friday evening. VandeBorne (Team Southside/Polaris) settled for second, while up-and-comer Dylan Roes (D&D Racing/Arctic Cat), of Lowville, NY, padded his resume with another solid third-place run.

Patenaude blasted off the line on his XPS Ski-doo in Saturday’s Pro final with Jared Gessner, Dalton Jacquier and VandeBorne in tow. Patenaude checked out to complete his sweep on the stock sled, while VandeBorne (second) and Gessner (third) both got by Jacquier in the closing laps.

Nykea Williams (Team Southside/Polaris) blasted to victory in Friday’s Pro Women final. The Lyndonville, Vermont, native passed early leader Alissah Ashline as they came to the white flag and sailed home to the checkered. Ashline settled for second, while Sabrina Verville continued her strong 2017 campaign in third.

On Saturday, Ashley Baird grabbed the hole shot and went wire-to-wire for top honors. Ashline crossed the line in second, while Rumford, Maine’s Kassie Thibodeau (Team Southside/Polaris) filled out the podium in third.

In the Southside Sales & Service Sport class at Plattsburgh, Tucker Kierstead (Kislowski Racing/Arctic Cat) was the man to beat. The young athlete from Alton Bay, NH, held off rising star Wyatt Hoffman and Emmett Scott to claim Friday night’s Super Stock final. Another strong performance on Saturday completed his clean sweep of Super Stock, while Bruce Gaspardi Jr. (Team Southside/Polaris) and Chris Ingles (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo) finished second and third, respectively.

Other final round winners over the weekend in Plattsburgh include Trevor Parent (Jr. 16-17 Stock 600 Friday); Tucker Olsen (Jr. 14-15 Friday); Nykea Williams (Plus 25/35 Friday); Bradley Tatro (Sport Stock 600 Weekend); and Chance Tietjen (Jr. 10-13 Saturday). Congratulations to all of our final round winners, we realize conditions were less than ideal – but at least we got to race.

East Coast Snocross would like to thank site host Taylor Rental and all of the great local sponsors in Plattsburgh for making Round 4 such a success. The unusually-warm temperatures made the event a challenge, yet all persevered and the races were completed. Our first-ever “under the lights” show on Friday night was truly spectacular, despite the fog.
