Return to Plattsburgh, NY next stop for ECS Conx2share Series,
Presented by Woody’s Traction and FXR

CLARKSBURG, Mass. (Feb. 20, 2017) – It’s one of the most beautiful and popular cities on the western shores of Lake Champlain, and many of its inhabitants love both snowmobiles and racing.

Winter enthusiasts across the Champlain Valley are getting excited, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) gets set for Round 4 on the seven-race 2017 campaign on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24-25, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Plattsburgh, New York.

This year’s event will feature first-of-its-kind racing under the lights, with races on Friday night and Saturday evening.

Admission is $12 per day for adults or $20 for a weekend pass. Children age 7 and under will be admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes, valid through the entire weekend, will be available for an extra $10.

“We’re all excited about presenting our sport under the lights in Plattsburgh,” series owner Kurt Gagne said. “There is a special magic in the air when snocross racers do battle on a well-lit track. We’ll have a big track at the Fairgrounds, and it should look pretty nice both Friday and Saturday evenings.”

Leading the charge into Plattsburgh are Team Southside/Polaris Pro riders Kristoffer Holm and Cody Paolella. Holm, of Storlett, Norway, has shown great speed early this season as he adapts to racing in New England. Paolella, of Wallingford, CT, earned the Pro Lite crown in 2016 and is rapidly gaining skills in Pro Open as he gets familiar with competing on a high-strung Mod sled.

Riders to watch in the highly-competitive Pro Lite class (Stock 600cc sleds) include Dylan Roes, of Lowville, NY; Dalton Jacquier, of Canaan, CT; Marco Travaglini, of Norfolk, CT; Michael Newman, of Stamford, CT; Scott VandeBorne, of Denfield, Ontario; and New York’s Jared Gessner.

Along with the high-flying action in the premier Pro Open, Pro Lite and Pro Women classes, the weekend in Plattsburgh will also feature plenty of exciting racing for the new MotoTrax Snow Bike class, along with the developmental Southside Sales & Service Sport class, the Junior and 120 classes.

There will be a host of vendors on hand at the Fairgrounds all weekend to offer hot food and beverages for race fans.

The East Coast Snocross Conx2share Series, presented by Woody’s Traction and FXR, is an ISR-affiliated sanctioning body for snowmobile racing in the northeastern United States. ECS maintains a regional circuit intended to keep grass-roots snocross racing healthy in this part of the country while also cultivating new talent for tomorrow’s factory-backed national Pro teams.
