About:

We are a non-profit snowmobile club located in Madison, New Hampshire and a member of the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association . The Scrub Oak Scramblers (SOS) Snowmobile Club promotes the sport of safe snowmobiling and maintains a 60 mile trail system throughout Madison, Freedom, Eaton, and Tamworth, New Hampshire.

The club enjoys a rich heritage dating back 40 years and is fortunate to have a rustic clubhouse on the trail in the Madison hills. SOS strives to have a balance of social gatherings, activities, work parties, and events which meet the varied interests of the membership. Communication with our members is accomplished with the publication of our monthly newsletter SOS NEWS, our website, and monthly business meetings and potluck suppers. Most of our trail system is over private property, and we are deeply indebted to the landowners who grant their permission each year.

Funds for day to day operating expenses as well as trail and bridge maintenance is derived from annual dues, fund raising events, Grant-In-Aid, and federal grants. In cooperation with the New Hampshire Fish & Game Department, we sponsor at least two Youth Snowmobile Safety Courses each year. In addition, we support the annual NHSA Easter Seals Ride-in and local community activities.
