– Boston A-List Lets the People Vote in a Bracket Competition –
January 28, 2014, Londonderry, VT? Magic Mountain was voted the winner in Boston A-List’s Ski Slope Showdown competition pitting the top 32 New England ski resorts against each other in head-to-head bracket playoff competition. The contest lasted 3 weeks with 5 rounds of online voting. Magic Mountain won each of its rounds and garnered the most votes overall.
Magic garnered more votes against some of the biggest names in the ski industry in head-to-head match-ups against Sugarloaf, Sunday River, Jay Peak, Mad River Glen and then Butternut in the finals.
“This online voting contest was all in good fun and there is such a great collection of ski areas in New England” said Geoff Hatheway, VP of Marketing for Magic. “But, it’s a testament to the passionate and growing Magic fan base out there who support our vision of sustaining an original Vermont skiing culture and community vibe focused on the sport above all else.”
