LOON MOUNTAIN RESORT TO OPEN MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
FOR SCENIC GONDOLA RIDES, AERIAL FOREST ADVENTURE PARK, ZIPLINES & MORE

LINCOLN, NH (May 21, 2018) – Loon Mountain Resort will open for summer adventures – including New Hampshire’s longest scenic Gondola Skyride, Summit Adventures, and Aerial Forest Adventure Park – Memorial Day Weekend (May 26-28). The resort will be open weekends only through June 17, with daily operations beginning Monday, June 18.

SUMMER & FALL ADVENTURES
With its range of exciting activities, Loon is the perfect place to visit this summer. For high-altitude adventure, ride New Hampshire’s longest scenic Gondola Skyride to the summit of Loon Peak, where visitors can climb an observation tower to enjoy spectacular views of the White Mountains, have lunch at the Summit Café, take a self-guided hike, and explore cool summit glacial caves.

Visitors looking for high adventure can zipline across the roaring Pemigewasset River, scale an outdoor climbing wall, or rent a mountain bike or e-bike to explore area paths and trails. Young adventure-seekers will flip over bungee trampolines and Bunyan’s Bouncin’ Backyard, a kid-friendly setup featuring a bounce house and inflatable games. Families can also tackle the giant LogJam Maze, where they can work together to negotiate twists, turns, and dead ends as they race against the clock.

NEW FOR 2018: SUMMER & FALL SEASON PASSES
For the first time ever, Loon will offer summer & fall season passes. A season pass offers the ultimate flexibility to zip, soar and explore Loon from mountaintop to bottom. Season passes are valid during the summer and fall seasons. Guests have two season pass options:

Super Adventure Pass ($130 through June 17)
A great pass for thrill seekers, offering access to mountain activities, including the Aerial Forest Adventure Park, zipline, bike rentals, and more.
Gondola Summit & Skyride Pass ($50 through June 17)
Offers unlimited access to the scenic Gondola Skyride and summit adventures, all summer and fall.

New England Brewfest | June 23
New England Brewfest, one of New England’s most well-respected annual beer festivals, will celebrate its 14th season on Saturday, June 23 in the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire. Beer aficionados, industry professionals and people taking a weekend getaway in New England will savor brand-new brews and enjoy the one-of-a-kind sights of Loon Mountain. Loon Mountain Race | July 8
Named “Most Competitive Hillclimb” by Runner’s World Magazine, this ridiculously tough race has runners climb more than 2,000 vertical feet over the course of six and a half miles. The legendary climb straight up Upper Walking Boss makes another appearance this year, providing one of the toughest, most awe-inspiring kilometers in the fast-growing sport of mountain running. This year, the race will serve as the US Mountain Running Championships.

Touch-A-Truck | August 5
Kids will love getting an up-close look at the trucks, grooming machines, and other heavy equipment that keeps Loon running all year long. Free admission.

New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival | Sept. 21-23
Grab a kilt for the 43rd annual New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival! One of the largest Scottish festivals in the country, the Highland Games will feature top Scottish bands, classic Highlander cuisine, Scottish heavy athletics, and dozens of other unique cultural attractions. White Mountain Oktoberfest | Oct. 6-7
