NEWRY, ME (December 20, 2019)-Each winter season, Sunday River invites skiers and snowboarders to the slopes to experience a premier ski vacation. While any time is a good time to come skiing-particularly with Sunday River’s newly released trip guides-theme weeks offer unique experiences for families, seniors, and the LGBTQ community.

Children’s Festival Week-happening January 5-10, 2020-is a celebration of skiing families. When staying with an adult for three nights or longer in any of Sunday River’s resort hotels, kids ages 3-12 ski, stay, and get lessons and rental equipment for free. There will be special events and activities for kids including fireworks, snow tubing, night-time entertainment, and dinners with the resort’s mascot, Eddy the Yeti. Experience Senior Week from January 27-31, 2020. $59 lift tickets will be available to skiers and riders ages 60 and up. Seniors can enjoy demo days at Sunday River Sports, happy hour specials at the Foggy Goggle, spa specials at the newly-renovated Jordan Spa, meet-ups with the Prime Time Ski Club, and plenty of après parties. Sunday River will also host the 10th annual White Out Weekend (WOW) -an LGBTQ ski event and party in partnership with OutRyders, New England’s largest LGBTQ ski and snowboard club-on February 7-9, 2020. WOW is all about good times with friends, and having fun both on and off the slopes, including an 80s space party at the mid-mountain Peak Lodge. For all events, ski and stay packages are available out of Sunday River’s slopeside hotels; The Grand Summit Hotel and Jordan Hotel. For more information on current deals and to purchase tickets, guests can visit sundayriver.com/events or call 800-543-2754 to book. About Sunday River Resort: Sunday River Resort is located minutes from picturesque Bethel Village in western Maine’s Mahoosuc Mountains.
