Visit to Bangor’s historic Bass Park next stop for Eastern Snocross Tour
Maine’s Queen City set to host points races, Vintage classes
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (Feb. 28, 2020) — Of all the towns and cities within northern New England’s vast boundaries, one city in the Great State of Maine boasts a rich history of snowmobile racing unmatched across our six state region.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 14-15, the Queen City of Bangor will once again roar to life with finely-tuned racing engines as the new Eastern Snocross Tour (ESXT) invades historic Bass Park. All of Saturday’s finals will be run “Under the Lights,” while Sunday will feature a daytime program.
Spectator gates open at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, while gates will open at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Admission is $15 per day for adults, or $25 for a weekend pass. Advance sale tickets can be purchased online at https://cmatvtc.ticketleap.com/bangor-snocross/.
As a special guest of event hosts the Central Maine ATV Trail Connectors, YouTube star ‘Larry Enticer‘ will be on hand all weekend. His signature philosophy of ‘I’m Still Gonna Send It,’ is adored by millions of sledheads across North America.
Fans in attendance can enter a drawing to win the Yamaha Enticer that Larry will jump. Along with this drawing, the Bangor Snocross will also feature a Food Drive to support the Good Shepherd Food Bank. Fans who bring a non-perishable food item will get an extra entry to the Enticer drawing.

Leading the charge into Bangor are Pro riders Leo Patenaude and Corin Todd. Patenaude (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo) has been on a tear this season, winning four of the seven Pro finals contested thus far in 2020. Todd (Team Southside/Polaris) has a pair of wins to his credit and is fast every week.
Other riders to watch in the premier Pro division include Michael George (Green Mountain Racing/Ski-doo), currently third in points behind Patenaude and Todd. Sitting fourth through seventh in points and striving for wins are Wade Acker, Dylan Roes, Marco Travaglini and Jake daSilva.
Riders to watch in the talent-filled Pro Lite class include Adam Ashline, Jake Boutwell, Gavin Fleury, Dalton Jacquier, Mitchell O’Keefe, Chance Tietjen and Ryan Dupont. The rising stars of Pro Lite often deliver some of the most exciting races of the weekend as they strive to hit the box.
Along with the high-flying action of the Pro and Pro Lite classes, the ESXT program at Bass Park will also feature exciting Vintage racing from Maine’s Tame the Track Snowmobile Tour.
“We’re all thrilled to be invited to be part of this great event,” Tame the Track Tour director Jere Humphrey said. “We’re having a solid season on our Vintage tour, and Bass Park is a perfect spot to combine vintage racing with the high-flying sleds of today. We’ll have 16 classes there for our ninth points race of the season. I can’t wait to bring our race teams to Bangor.”
The Eastern Snocross Tour is owned by longtime racer and team owner Bruce Gaspardi Sr.,
of North Adams, Massachusetts. Gaspardi and his Team Southside/Polaris squad have been fixtures in eastern regional snocross since the early 1990s. Having him at the helm adds stability for 2020.
