Current Conditions at Sunday River – 49 trails and 9 lifts

Terrain expansion is how we count down to the holidays! Today a groomed Upper Grand Rapids opens, with Exit Left to follow. We have 50 open trails covered in freshly made snow and stripes for you to choose from.

Current Conditions at Sugarloaf – 26 trails and 7 lifts

As snow flurries poke around the mountain this morning and the temperatures are seeming to drop for the week, the joy of holiday cheer and decorations around the Valley are heart-warming, and thoughts of family time around the mountain are exciting.

Speaking of exciting, we are always excited to have trails freshly groomed and ready for first tracks from our dedicated skiers and riders, and today is no different. I love seeing the groomers crawl around the mountain at night, knowing that they are setting things up for a great first run. The snowmakers are working hard and taking advantage of the weather as we push to the east side of the mountain and continue to work our way up Whiffletree and Ramp Down as well as Lombard and Spillway X-Cut.

Saddleback – 8 trails and 3 lifts

Happy Winter Solstice! Today is the day in the Northern Hemisphere when the North Pole has tilted the farthest away from the sun, marking the official start of winter. Make the shortest day of the year count with some nice long cruising laps. Tri-Color to Grey Ghost was my favorite long run yesterday.
