The Maine Northeast Snow Report for December 9th
….Always Check with the resorts for the latest conditions, hours of operation and updates
Current Conditions at Sunday River – 24 trails and 5 lifts
Mother Nature got in the winter spirit yesterday, dropping the fluffiest 3″ of new snow across the resort. Inspired by her efforts, our snowmaking team continued to push terrain expansion, making snow on White Cap, Aurora, Oz, and Jordan overnight. The groomers got busy too, smoothing that fresh snow into beautiful corduroy on all 29 open trails.
Current Conditions at Sugar Loaf – 3 Lifts Open and 19 Trails Open
Last night the snowmaking crew had a pleasant night of cold temps and calm winds. They kept the guns running on Hayburner, Windrow, and the Birches. Rumor has it they have their eyes set on the. Boardwalk…, Boardwalk. The snow kitties crawled around the mountain last night freshening up all of our open terrain. Currently they are putting the final touches on Spillway, which should be available for skiers and riders at some point this morning.
Saddleback – 2 Lifts and 3 Trails Open
Like a clean slate, we have a fresh coating of 2-3’’ of good ol’ fashioned Mothah Nature powder on the slopes this morning. Our groomers will be churning and burning it into squeaky clean cord.
